Wedding Wednesday: Angie H.

This past weekend, Julio had the pleasure of making up another Pucker Bride, Angie, who Julio likes to refer to as the Victoria's Secret Bride because of her drop dead, gorgeous looks.  He enhanced her beauty on her special day and here's some photos from Seth and Beth.

Private Event: Rokkan Agency

The employees of Rokkan were the luckiest women alive last Friday.  Their company, located just down the block from us, paid for 50 of their female employees to get Quickie Hair and Quickie Makeup Applications the night of their company holiday party.  And that's not all!  We hear they had a full day of pampering and we were they're last stop.

The rest were getting their hair done downstairs.  They got the choose from Quickie Hair Styles, which are simple 20 minute 'dos such as a topknot, curled ends, a braid, or a half up-half down style.

Event Recap: Shobha

Have you guys heard about the fabulous threading and waxing salon chain, Shobha?  If you're from NYC, you should know who they are by now!  Many of our staff members have been going there for years and we love what they offer, so it was only fitting to align ourselves with them and form a partnership.

We were invited to a private sorority event for Gamma Phi Beta on Saturday, December 6 at Shobha's Columbus Circle location where we held a lip bar displaying our holiday collection of lipsticks and glosses for the ladies to test and purchase.  With yummy cocktails and goodie bags, we'd say that group definitely had a great time.

Transformation Tuesday

For Transformation Tuesday, we've got another before and after for you.  Kristin was kind enough to let us photographer her and show our Pucker Gals just how easy it is to go from day to night in 40 minutes.  We always love a warm smokey eye and nude lip.

Get Puckered Like Tasha

All kinds of women from all walks of life come to our studio to get Puckered.  Our clients have made appointments for a special event, a date night, an executive meeting, a wedding, and many more occassions.  Take Tasha Marbury for example, who came yesterday for a full Pucker Look before being interviewed for a filmed segment by HBO Real Sports.  If you feel like you may recognizer her, you've most likely remember her from VH1's Basketball Wives (Miami), seasons 5 and 6.

Our makeup artist, Jessie, used our popular Pucker CC Cream (which we'll be retailing here soon), a bit of Kyrolan concealer in D30, highlighting with the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal by our retail partner Becca Cosmetics, contoured with Kevyn Aucoin's Sculpting Powder in Medium, and finished her with her own personal NARS lipstick in Deborah.

Tasha Marbury wanted a clean, natural look and that's just what she got at Pucker.

Night At The Museum

All About That Base

The first step to perfect makeup is a great skin routine for your face.  As winter in NYC approaches, our skin will begin to get dry and for some, even flaky, making it a mess once you powder your face!  Exfoliate away the dead skin cells from your face at least twice a week and moisturize day and night.  We tend to get dryer around our eyes and mouths so you don't want to skip those areas.  With a good primer, you'll have enough slip (that baby smooth feeling) for the foundation to slide right on evenly.  If you're ruddy around the nose, cheeks, and forehead, our Pucker CC Cream is a perfect choice our makeup artist may just recommend to eliminate the redness and provide a dewey, sheer coverage.  Just take a look at our Pucker Gals' looks from last week.

It's engagement season and we're ready for our Pucker Brides.  Our rates are super affordable for wedding season.  In-studio makeup application the day of your wedding is just $100 and a trial is only $60.  Can't beat that in NYC!  Though a trial isn't required, we strongly recommend it so that you feel completely comfortable knowing what you will look like on your special day.  And of course, we'll complete the look with adding falsies or brow shaping for an additional $20.  Need hair too?  Stay tuned for a complete hair menu we're planning.
